Power forward of Detroit Pistons, Chris Webber said he was glad about his trip to Serbia. Webber who played with Divac in Sacramento, points out that he is honored to know a man and humanitarian like Vlade Divac.

Humanitarian spectacle honoring Divac's retirement, which will be held on Saturday, September 22nd in front of the Serbian Parliament will be visited by members of great basketball generations: Zarko Paspalj, Zoran Savic, Sasha Djordjevic, Predrag Danilovic, Dejan Bodiroga and Peja Stojakovic, but also coaches Dusan Ivkovic and Zeljko Obradovic.
Thus, a special place at this celebration will have one of the assistand coaches of L.A Lakers- Bill Bertka, a man who is credited for Vlade's departure to NBA. In 1988, Bertka recommended talented Divac to his GM Jerry West. Interesting fact, coach Bertka's roots are from Pancevo (near Belgrade), so he will use this occasion to visit place from where his ancestors left to USA.
