 | Based on the official records from the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia there are 6,748 refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) living in collective centers throughout Serbia. They live in poor conditions, terrible hygiene, without jobs, salaries, pensions and often without the opportunity to legally obtain any type of income.
These people are not just numbers. Every one of them has a past and a life story. Just a small number of them have the opportunity to plan the future. |
| A life without a home is their every day challenge. Resilience and improvisation are their reality. We must remember that they did not choose to live this way. |
